Services

Tax returns, bookkeeping, and the same person every year.

We file personal tax returns, handle ongoing bookkeeping, and prepare business returns — all remotely, all with the same person year after year. No handoffs, no starting over, no explaining your situation twice.

What we do — tax preparation

Tax returns, filed by the same person every year.

Personal or business, simple or complex, we handle the filing start to finish. And we don’t disappear after April — if something comes up, we’re still here.

Most of our work

Personal tax returns

1040 federal + state filing — for individuals, families, and side-hustlers.

  • W-2 income (single or multiple jobs)
  • Schedule C — self-employment / freelance / 1099 income
  • Schedule E — rental property income
  • K-1s — partnership and S-corp pass-through
  • Itemized deductions when they beat the standard
  • Multi-state filings if you crossed a line during the year
  • Filed by the same person, every year

Business tax returns

Sole prop, partnership, or S-corp — we handle the business return.

  • Schedule C — sole proprietors and single-member LLCs
  • Form 1065 — multi-member partnerships
  • Form 1120-S — S-corporations
  • Quarterly estimated tax planning
  • 1099 preparation + filing for contractors you paid
  • Standalone return or full-year bookkeeping plus tax prep — same person, all year

What we do — bookkeeping

Three ways to keep your books current.

For owners who want monthly bookkeeping — with or without tax filing included. Choose what fits your situation.

Books Only

Monthly bookkeeping for owners who already have a tax preparer.

Best for

Businesses where someone else handles taxes — a CPA, a family member, or you.

  • Monthly bank + credit card reconciliation
  • Transaction categorization in QuickBooks Online
  • Monthly profit & loss statement
  • Monthly balance sheet
  • Year-end docs ready for your tax preparer
  • Email + phone access to your bookkeeper during business hours
Most chosen

Books + Tax

Full-year bookkeeping plus annual tax filing — one person, one set of books.

Best for

Owners who want the same person handling both their books and their return.

  • Everything in Books Only
  • Federal + state business tax return filing
  • 1099 preparation + filing for contractors
  • Sales tax reminders
  • Quarterly estimated tax calculation if you owe self-employment tax
  • Year-round tax planning conversations — not just March
  • One point of contact for both your books and your return

Cleanup + Catch-up

One-time engagement to bring books current.

Best for

Owners who haven't reconciled in months (or years), or whose QuickBooks is a mess.

  • Multi-month or multi-year reconciliation
  • Re-categorization of misclassified transactions
  • Books brought current through a chosen month-end
  • Closing entries + adjusting journal entries as needed
  • Hand-off summary so you (or your tax pro) know what changed
  • Optional: roll into Books Only or Books + Tax after cleanup

Pricing starts hourly while we learn your books, then moves to a flat monthly rate once we know what your time actually takes — usually after a few months.

And on the personal side

Personal bookkeeping — for everything outside the business.

Sometimes called daily money management or household bookkeeping. The same monthly cadence we use for businesses, applied to personal finances — so household finances stay current, the bills get paid on time, and tax season isn’t a paperwork scramble.

Managing your parents' finances from out of state.

The mail's piling up at their place, bills are slipping past due, and you're trying to keep track of it all from another time zone. We can take that over — reconcile their accounts, pay the bills (or oversee them), and send you a monthly summary so you know exactly what happened.

Two-income household, no time for the household books.

Mortgage, a couple of credit cards, two car payments, kids' activities, vacation. You make plenty of money but you don't want to spend Saturday morning on bill pay and reconciliation. We'll keep the household finances current so you don't have to think about it.

Recently retired, sold a business, or simplifying.

Snowbirds, retirees, people who just stepped back from running a business. You used to handle the day-to-day yourself and now you'd rather not. We take the financial admin off your plate so you don't have to.

What’s included

  • Monthly bill pay (or oversight if you'd rather pay them yourself)
  • Reconciliation across personal checking, savings, and credit card accounts
  • Personal expense categorization — see where the money actually goes
  • Year-end tax document organization, ready for whoever files the return
  • Monthly summary — what came in, what went out, what's coming up
  • Available to coordinate with your financial advisor, estate attorney, or CPA as needed

Personal bookkeeping is also a common fit alongside our personal tax filing — we keep the books current all year, then file the 1040 in spring. Same person, same eyes on it.

Common questions

What clients ask before signing on.

Books Only is monthly bookkeeping — we keep your books clean and hand year-end docs to whoever files your taxes (a CPA, a family member, you). Books + Tax means we do both — same person filing your return knows your books cold.

Same person, every year.

Not sure which one fits?

Email us. We’ll figure it out together — no pressure to sign up if it’s not the right time.
